Warsztat Miejski Christmas Auction

Annual Christmas Auction of arts and crafts by members of the Warsztat Miejski – Gliwice Makerspace – and befriended local artists.

Over 30 types of creative items and services – dozens of handmade Christmas decorations, paintings, prints, sculptures, photography services and workshops, bags, scarves, hats, shawls, and much more – all artfully crafted and every single one auctioned off during the Auction.

This recurring pre-Christmas event at the Gliwice Makerspace brings together the local community of craftsmen, artists, and collectors of unique, original designs. As part of the celebration of the creative community, a friendly competition for unique prizes ensues in a family-friendly atmosphere, with gingerbread-inspired food, and the sounds of “All I Want for Christmas is You.”

This time, the Auction was held to support the renovation of the carpentry workshop at the Municipal Workshop. Thanks to the community’s support, the Municipal Workshop will soon boast another renovated workspace, in addition to the ceramics studio and electrolab.

The auction also included some “morphic” accents – the “Mechanical Pigeon” auctioned off to honor the Workshop’s patron.
